Our Story
Our story began in 2018 in a small studio apartment in the Shaw neighborhood in South St. Louis. JON BLANCO founder, Anthony, was new to the city. Feeling unfulfilled with his day job, creativity prevailed and with one desk and a little free time on the nights and weekend, the brand was born. The brand stemmed from the difficulty in finding local apparel that was both minimally designed and operating with a bigger vision. The motto, inspired by the world, was identified as the guiding idea behind JON BLANCO. It pushes us to operate using a business model that embraces both people and planet. People: We see the humanity in everyone. We listen and learn first and aim to support our community. Planet: There is no Planet B. We have integrated organic and recycled fabrics as well as domestic manufacturing in our business model. We want to be one of the most cutting edge sustainable apparel brands in St. Louis.
Our products are made to last. We believe in balancing accessibility, quality and sustainability in every product. Each product is minimally designed, making them practical and versatile for everyday use. Inspired by the world and the beautiful city where we live, our products represent something bigger than a clothing brand. They represent a community of open-minded, curious individuals who each have something to contribute to society. Our community is inspired to be more, to do more and to change the world. We hope you’ll join us in our effort!
Together, we can make the world a better place, one article of clothing at a time.

How are our products made?
Supply Chain integrity is incredibly important to JON BLANCO. Knowing where your product comes from is necessary for being a socially and environmentally sustainable company. All of our products are sourced from reputable manufacturers who are primarily based in the United States. Any items made overseas are manufactured in Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) certified facilities, which are independently audited. Like many apparel companies, we have manufactured items overseas in China, Vietnam and Honduras. As we have grown as brand, so has our ability to manufacture locally and with high quality sustainable fabrics. As of 2022, all new products we manufacture must meet one or more of the following criteria (1) Organic, (2) Recycled or (3) USA Made. This has led us to establishing strong relationships with manufacturers in Los Angeles, New York, Cleveland, OH, Fredericktown, MO and Kansas City, MO. As we sell out of old inventory, we are restocking with new product meeting this criteria
Our long-term vision is to manufacture every product in the United States using only organic and recycled materials. Ultimately, we would love to establish a manufacturing hub right here in St. Louis, MO. These are big ambitions for a local brand, but we believe it is possible. Just in the last few years, we have been able to achieve more than we could have ever imagined.
